"...what I feel we ought to do at this juncture is to dash off somewhere where it's quiet and there aren't so many houses dancing the 'Blue Danube' and shove some tea into ourselves. And over the pot and muffins I shall have something very important to say to you."

"I lit the Coleman lantern this evening.
A bright friendly glow in the wilderness, the warmth of home."

can't move on

© Colleen Hilman
I know the rapsberries are over but I'm, like totally, not over the raspberries so may I please post just a little more of them?

Raspberries in yogurt, on waffles and french toast, homemade raspberry jam, and (the best) - one for me, one for the bucket, one for me ....

What's your favourite berry and how do you like it best?

sassy rooster

© Colleen Hilman

Yes, it's the sassy rooster! You know the one - all sassish and roostery. I bit the proverbial bullet and bought Photoshop Elements because my super cute and forever friend Shari gave me a heads up on a free tutorial at JessicaSprague.com that involved learning more about adding frames and words to your shots and I needed to have the program to do this class. I've been wanting to get the program for some time though so this pushed me to it (not one to part with money easily). The classes have entailed listening to a short video in which Jessica walks you through step by step in a thorough but concise fashion which I've found very helpful. I'm not sure the sassy rooster will come in handy for anything other than sassish roosteryness, but what is that, really. That aside it's been great to have a ship to sail through Photoshop, a massively large and lovely program.
